Laundry Room Reveal | Diamond in Richmond

Our laundry space, a separate dwelling to our house, had a lot of potential and plenty of space to work with. We wanted to create a multipurpose room that housed a beautiful laundry but could be hidden away when it wasn’t in use.

The design started with the concept of a large barn door which would cover the laundry. We created a nook for the laundry and then on the other side we added shelving, which can be used as additional storage or an office nook.

We went for black cabinetry and a black super tub to add some contrast to the white room. The bamboo bench top and shelves bring warmth and texture to the room alongside the gorgeous vinyl plank flooring. We added the herringbone pattern in the tiles and the barn door to break up the straight lines and add some interest.
