The design of this bedroom was very calculated and considered. Working within a long narrow room with two different ceiling heights, we wanted to bring some consistency to the look. The panel feature wall and integrated wardrobe was our solution, elongating the room and adding colour and pattern.

The dramatic deep green was the backdrop for the rooms design and the starting point of the colour scheming. I went with a soft grey wallpaper around the rest of the walls, with a white shell coloured wallpaper above the trim. The grey loop pile wool carpet added texture to the room and the black lighting fixtures gave it a more modern look.

Finally the icing on the cake - the gorgeous patterned drapes - Viewpoint Nile by James Dunlop. The fabric imitates a lineal watercolour with free-flowing lines moving across the fabric, in and out of focus taking on another shade or colour. While shades of teal and mineral greys brings all the colours within the room together.
