The property market in 2022 looks very different than in 2021! It’s hard to miss all the attention grabbing news headlines to remind us. 

We have just experienced firsthand the market conditions as we renovated, listed and sold what was our first home in this buyers market. When we started our latest renovation, we were in the peak of the market - when everyone was trying to delay listing their home as they might have got an extra 2-3% by putting it off as house prices went crazy. To the more present realities of much uncertainty and the competition is flipped as sellers compete to get buyers into their homes.

It is now well and truly a ‘buyers market’. Gone are the days of simply listing a home, receiving unconditional competition, and settling 4 weeks later. There is now a lot more planning, preparation, hard work to sell property - as well as being realistic on the market conditions. 

So it’s all the more important to be prepared, have a strategy and present your property in the best light if you want to achieve the best outcome.
