Kid's Room Project Reveal | That 70s Reno
Welcome to our project to makeover our kids rooms belonging to Mika (7) and Alek (9).
When creating a design brief (both ours and the kids) there was a clear objective to create distinct spaces that reflected their individual interests and personalities. Mika was only 18 months old when she and Alek first started sharing a room, so this was the first opportunity for them to have their own space. It was important to ensure that despite the identical layout, the rooms felt uniquely tailored to each of them.
To achieve this, a key focus was incorporating their preferred colours and creating functional spaces that suited their desired way of living. These are small singles rooms, so we had to carefully use the space and find ways to create a clutter-free environment. Additionally, we wanted these rooms to be enjoyable and filled with things that made them happy.
To find out how we made this change, just keep scrolling through this blog filled with images of our renovated rooms. The blog also includes a breakdown of the expenses and a list of the items we used. Don't forget to watch our MasterStroke by Resene Kids Room Makeover Episode too.
We are excited once again be collaborating with MasterStroke by Resene. In our new makeover episode, we show you a kid’s room transformations.
