Welcome to The Parental Pad and the renovation my parents' bathroom. The old setup included a shub shower—a combination tub and shower—that was outdated and no longer met their needs. It felt redundant and didn’t contribute to a modern, welcoming bathroom environment.
We knew it was time for a change. The goal was to create a space that was easier to use as they aged, with features that simplified cleaning and required less maintenance. Our approach focused on a clean, minimalist design that balanced style and functionality.
We replaced the shub with a walk-in shower featuring a frameless glass enclosure, enhancing both accessibility and visual appeal. A floating vanity with built-in storage kept the space tidy and sleek. To brighten the room, we used large tiles and reflective finishes. Mirrors were strategically placed to amplify natural light, making the bathroom feel more open.
